Mists of Pandaria

Askevar is 90… hit it Friday in fact [with Venoym].  This was the fastest and hardest we’ve ever pushed to level.  I know a lot of people like to savor initially, but we both prefer to just get our main to 90 and worry about savoring later with alts.  That’s why they exist after all?  Anyway, Askevar’s main set is going along well.  I do a couple scenarios a day as well as a heroic or two in the evening.  All my pieces, save a 442 blue ring, are 450 or better, with several 463 items.  I’m doing my daily rep grinds and I’ve maxed all my professions both primary [Inscription/Jewelcrafting] and Secondary [Archaeology, First Aid, Cooking, Fishing] and I got access to the end food for the Way of the Oven [aka the tank tree].  I also have all my on server alts parked at Halfhill to farm various veggies to max the other ways or to create the max Oven food.  By the way, if you do this, the Outpost Zhu flightpoint in Krasanger is the one that connects the Jade Forest initial town to Halfhill.

For that matter, I’ve now maxed out every profession on my account except Blacksmithing and Skinning.  Suffice to say, our guild has the heirloom legs already, and not just through my efforts either.  Sadly they are only good through 85, which I think is a little silly, but I was able to buy a pair for my level 20 monk.  Oh, we also have the guild shirts because a group running scenarios last night saw we were only two away and decided to finish.  They’re kinda cute but you can’t see it with my armor on [as it should be for a tank].

My offset gear is crap [its unholy now, gave up frost] and a quarter to half the pieces are still level 85 stuff that I need to replace, but, on the flipside, I’m quite a hardy tank right now.

Honestly, I don’t see any of my alts getting to 90 very quickly.  I’ve got 2 at 86 – my bank alt/gatherer and my horde pally [the horde pally would net me 2 account achievements].  With our guild not even discussing raiding for another two weeks, I might get one leveled but who knows?  My main priority, as always, is going to be getting Askevar’s tank set raid ready – everything else is bonus.

Sundays have become achievement night and due to lack of interest from our guild [a lot of people are still busy leveling and that’s alright], we’ve been pulling from cross realm friends.  We’ve gotten a lot done though and we’ve had a blast doing it.  We even managed to 9 man Heroic Chimaeron just before MoP hit – with 3 healers, 2 tanks and the rest dps – and that’s what we managed to get… we had intended to 2 heal, but with everyone wanting to try out their mainspec, extra heals never hurt :D.

I will admit, at times the dailies feel almost endless, but once I get the reputations to max, I’ll be gold.  I’m already revered with Order of the Cloud Serpent and well into honored with most of the rest so it’ll get there 🙂  And I’m not finding these dailies near as painful as some have been in the past either.

Goldwise – I’ve already spent a ton between buying the Grand Expedition Yak and speed leveling some professions.  Despite that, I’ve actually managed to make money on Askevar and I’ll make back the rest and then some when I level the alts, so it’ll all work out.  Hey, don’t look at me that way… I saved and ground for that Yak for several months before MoP dropped and I’m darn proud of it!  There is nothing like achieving a goal you set out to complete.

Speaking of achievements, for the first time since I was maining a warlock, I have finally passed my husband in total achievement points.  Now, so it’s said, that won’t last as he’ll do all those achievements and catch right back up… but for once it’s nice to be ahead!

Goals Before MoP

I know, I know…  Yeah…  3 posts so far in two days and a couple of weeks before that without one… but eh, I have stuff to talk about NOW.

Anyway, I wanted to go ahead and start making that list of ‘things I want done before the next expansion’.  Mainly so I could start working on it 😛

World of Warcraft
*Ogril’a Exalted,
*Frenzyheart Exalted
*Mercenary of Sholazar
*Ratchet Exalted,
*Everlook Exalted,
*Stormpike Exalted
*Avengers of Hyjal exalted
*Get into PVP a little bit and earn at least a few of those achievements.
*Try to get the Tol’vir pet and mount.
*Get the Traveler’s Tundra Mammoth
*Get a Vial of the Sands
*Grind the pattern on my druid
*Try to finish out Shadowmourne…  22/50
*Hit 12k achievement points
*Grind a Tabard of the Scarlet Crusade for Askevar
*Finish Well Read on my primary alts
*Max out professions on alts on AZM [Leatherworking and Engineering]
*Salty on Askevar [just need the rare fish]
*Turtle mount on Askevar
*Cenarion Molten Core set for Aricaa [have 7 of the 8 pieces]
*Level one of each class on the main account to 85: just need mage – have one at level 79 at the moment
*Clear out my toons banks and guild banks…  make use of void storage for the things I want to keep

If I get really bored, run the rest of my AZM toons through the Cataclysm zones they didn’t finish in while in the leveling process.

Looking at that list and thinking… honestly the only things I expect to get done are the rep grinds and some PVP… not sure I have the fortitude to grind out the archaeology stuff and the fishing achievements.  I probably will make some progress on Shadowmourne but we’ll see.

SWTOR:
*Hit 50 on Askevar, my Jedi Guardian [she’s 49 now]
*Level my Bounty Hunter [Level 30]
*Level some alts, especially after 1.2 hits

Other Games:
Finish Diablo 3 on the Barbarian.  Play other classes
Try out Star Trek Online as it’s free 2 play
Play LotRO with Endyme some.

I honestly am not sure I’ll do much with the MoP beta…  The Cataclysm beta left a really bad taste in my mouth because of the poor quality of it… and the fact that every bug I reported was in the release… and the fact that the feedback function was broken for months…  Yeah, was severely not impressed there and it’s kinda to the point of  ‘what is the point?’ if Blizz isn’t going to listen anyway.  I probably will spend a little time in it… but yeah, not too much.

Diablo 3 – if it’s ever released, is something hubby and I will check out.  I seriously doubt we’ll play it long term but as we’re receiving a copy from the annual pass, it’d be a little silly not to check it out.

We’ll see how it goes… for now I’m playing what I feel like as I can and have time :), with WoW being my priority as I’m raiding and raid leading and really enjoying that!

Over 9000 and Other Weekend Achievements:

My main [the death knight] reached over 9000 achievements points!  I’m the fourth person in the guild to do so with a few people close behind 😀

My paladin also hit 85 this afternoon [she was already halfway through the level].  I’m finding that I don’t care much for the paladin now and I’ve all but dropped her tanking spec.  I expect she’ll basically sit there for a while – maybe work on her blacksmithing a tad.  That pretty much leaves my clothies, my warrior and my [ew] rogue left to get to 85.  I only quest with them until they’re maxed on guild reputation for the week [so it takes 2 weeks minimally to level one to 85, maybe a third to get them to honored reputation].  So they’re leveling – granted, more slowly than the last expansion.  Course, that’s also helping to max out our guild every day as it seems quite a few people are on the slower leveling track.  We’ll hit guild level 14 first thing in the morning.

I’m contemplating leveling my priest to PVP next since I have no real desire to heal on any toons at the moment but we’ll see.  Maybe I’ll give holy spec a go and enjoy it.

Anywho, we shall see!
